Suggested Use:

Caffeine Anhydrous

Class: Stimulant
Synonyms: 1,3,7-trimethyl-1-H-purine-2,6(3H,7H)-dione, 3,7-Dihydro-1,3,7-trimethyl-1H-purine-2,6-dione, methylxanthine, teaine (erroneous), mateine (erroneous).
What: on the most common stimulants and psychoactive compounds in the world. We need to know that caffeine has many secondary effects on the body, as well.
How: Caffeine redirects bloodflow in the brain toward the prefrontal cortex, which is the area responsible for attention, and strategizing. Caffeine also indirectly increases epinephrine (adrenaline), and dopamine. Increasing these chemicals in the brain increases alertness, and the burning of fat by converting fat into free form fatty acids in order to contribute to fat burning.
Additional notes: high doses of caffeine prior to workout increase the testosterone to cortisol ratio.


Coco Bean Extract

Class: Stimulant.
What: Theobromine is often used as a vasodilator, and a diuretic, as well as a stimulant.
How: Theobromine has similar action in the body to caffeine, in that it binds to the adenosine receptors, as an antagonist (or agent exerting the opposite effect of the chemical the receptor is typically meant for). Theobromine exerts a milder effect on the nervous system than caffeine, but still does increase the release of dopamine and norepinephrine.


Green Tea Extract

Class: Antioxidant, Hearth Health, Fat loss. 
What: an extract made from green tea, standardized for polyphenols and EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate). This extract is used to burn fat and reduce inflammation.
How: Green tea extract contains potent antioxidants in the form of catechins, most notably EGCG. Notably, green tea extract increases insulin sensitivity, improves body composition and reduces fat. This is likely facilitated by green tea extract’s ability to slow the breakdown of norepinephrine by acting on CoMT (catechol-O-methyl transferase, an enzyme responsible for the breakdown on the stimulatory neurotransmitter known as norepinephrine). How: Cupuacu contains caffeine, theobromine and theophylline, which all contribute to stimulation and locomotion. Cupuacu also contains catechins and quercetin, which have many other biological processes such as the reduction of inflammation, and antioxidant effects.

How: Epicatechin reduces myostatin by increasing follistatin levels. For some background one should know that myostatin is a protein that acts as a limiting factor in muscle growth. Follistatin signals the body to produce less myostatin. Decreases in myostatin then lead to great improvements in body composition and muscle mass. Not only that, but epicatechin improves pumps through exerting effects on the nitric oxide system.
